Burton Men's Sherlock SnowboardSTYLE # 10713100
The Burton 2014 Sherlock Snowboard slays all obstacles with deep snow float and feel thanks to a combo of rocker/camber Flying V and Side Effects, putting it in the freeride class of the Barracuda but with the freestyle versatility of the Custom. This deck is the one Mikey Rencz and Mark Sollors pull from the sled when filming with their crews and just like them, it needs a steady diet of fresh snow and featured terrain to stay satisfied.
A blend of camber and rocker performance, Flying V offers the best of both worlds. Rocker overall, including between and outside your feet, enhances playfulness and float. Underneath your feet, subtle camber zones focus edge-control for crisp snap, added pop, and powerful turns.
A groomer board can ride pow or park, but if you prefer one over the other, you should also consider characteristics like the board's Bend and Shape.
Doesn't matter if you've been riding one day or daily for 10 years, you either want a board that rips hard and fast, or prefer a board that's more about getting loose.
Not to be overlooked, boot size not only determines binding size, but should account for a board's width. A board that's too narrow will have your toes and heels dragging. Too wide and you'll have a hard time turning.
This patent-pending technology improves pop and performance through the balance of thicker, more powerful core sections with thinner, more flexible sections. Rider energy is transferred outward from beneath the feet, energizing the tip and tail while making the board snappier, more stable, and easier to manipulate.
This patented design lengthens the surface area at the tip and tail contact points to improve edge-hold and allow the board to plane easier in pow. Enjoy a livelier feel and enhanced grip on groomers along with added float for overhead days.
Internal dampening lets you ride faster through rough terrain with more control and less impact on your body. The negative vibrations and shock are cushioned by the board before making it to your body. Featured on the Process Flying V, Process, Sherlock, Déjà Vu Flying V, and Déjà Vu.
A tapered tip and tail thickness reduces swing weight for easier mobility.
This Burton-exclusive technology allows us to maximize pop and strength by overbuilding the board, then putting it in a machine that breaks in the board for you. Whether you choose to ride Springloaded, Rocker, or Camber, rest assured that with Infinite Ride your board will maintain its flex, pop, and feel from the first day forward, season after season.
